EXHIBITING
By
Exhibiting at the Holistic Living Expo, you can:
- Sell
your products, offer your services to the public,
or give away samples.
- Meet
new people, establish new ongoing clients.
- Distribute
literature, get leads, expand your mailing list.
- Educate
the public about the benefits of your products or
services.
- Give
lectures, demonstrations, performances, & other
types of presentations.
If you wish to exhibit, you can click on the “Exhibitor
Application” link at the top of the page. From
there you can download the application & mail it to
us. Or you can call 831-706-4336 (days) or 831-239-6835 (evenings & weekends) & reserve a space
with a credit card, or we'll give you a number to
fax your application to our current location (We're
on the road much of the time).
At most of our events, we get more applications
for spaces than we have room. We limit booths in each
category to reflect expected demand based on show
history. Register early if you are interested in prime
booth locations or presentation times. Once the show
has sold out, exhibitors may request to be put on
a waiting list. Typically there are 3 or 4 cancellations
during the last week before an event - due to illness,
car trouble, or other unforeseen circumstances - at
which time we fill those spaces from our waiting list.
Do not hesitate to call or email us if you have questions
or concerns. We want you to be fully prepared in order
to have the best possible experience on the day of
the event. Try to call during normal business hours;
Tues - Fri from 10 am to 6 pm. We forward the office
phone to the cell phone when we are on the road, so
you may be surprised at how easy it is to reach us,
if necessary, on the morning of an event.

Partnership Booths
We do a number of booths as a partnership between
Sacred Productions & the Exhibitor. For example, some
of the readers pay $15 plus a 50/50 split of income.
This option is available to new practitioners while
they are on the learning curve of their first three
events. After that, it is by special arrangement only,
& is dependent on the exhibitor’s ability to successfully
apply the Exhibitor Guidelines (10 Secrets of Successful
Exhibiting) listed at the end of this email and on
the website. The Seance Booth & the Aura Camera are
other examples of partnership booths. There is also
a Cooperative Expo Store in conjunction with the Registration
Area, where exhibitors not wishing to have an entire
booth can work together with us and do a split on
the profits.
Networking Partnerships
We also offer partnership booths to some network
marketing groups willing to create committed networking
teams to work at the expos, particularly those companies
in the health & nutrition field. Sacred Productions
provides a free booth to help build networking organizations
that financially support the team members and the
expo itself. We are looking for a few team leaders
who want to be positioned at the top of the regional
networks in the free booths. We are focusing now on
the teams that have the highest potential for rapid
expansion - Univera Life Sciences, Amazon Herbs, Stem
Tech, Waiora, Pharmanex, Veema, & Gano Excel (Healthy
Coffee), plus a few others that are soon to enter
into agreements with Sacred Productions.
If you are interested in partnering with us, contact
Dean at 831-706-4336 (days) or 831-239-6835 (evenings & weekends) .
Holistic Living Collective
The expo, in keeping with the theme of “Co-Creating
a Better World”, is currently looking for a few more
partners and co-creators. If you are interested in
producing an event in your area, or working with us
on the marketing team, program team, advisory board,
finance, or booth sales, please contact Dean at 831-706-4336 (days) or 831-239-6835 (evenings & weekends) or Dean@HolisticLivingExpo.com.
We also need help to run the Astrology Booth, the
Visionary Art & Music Booth, the Cooperative Store,
and the Virtual Expo being created on the website.
There are some paid positions & some involve discounts
on booths.
PRACTITIONER STANDARDS
The continued success of our events is dependent
in large part on the quality of the experience that
attendees have, particularly with the psychic readers,
spiritual counselors & healers. As much as possible,
we want attendees to leave healthy, happy & hopeful.
A satisfied client will spread the word about their
positive experience, & return the next time with their
friends. Therefore we have high standards for our
exhibitors. Practitioners who are new to our events
must demonstrate their abilities & experience either
before or on the day of their first event. Spiritual
Counselors can do a short sample session over the
telephone or at one of the events. Contact Emy at
951-277-9178 or Shemshel@yahoo.com
to arrange a time for that. Healers can provide a
short demonstration of their work on the day of their
first event.
PRESENTATIONS, LECTURES,
PERFORMANCES, & WORKSHOPS
At each expo we offer a separate room or area for
free half-hour presentations, performances, lectures,
etc. The presentation room may be reserved at no charge
on a first-come first-served basis by exhibitors who
have completed the registration process & paid their
booth fees. Non-exhibitors may rent the presentation
rooms for $50 per half-hour. If you are interested,
please fill out the Presentation section on the exhibitor
application, & indicate a range of preferred times.
Presentations begin at 10:15 am after the 9:45 am
Opening Ceremony, & run throughout the day every half
hour until 6:00 pm. There is one 45 minute slot at
10:15 am. These presentation times fill up fast, especially
those in the middle of the day, so register early
if you want an optimum time for your presentation.
By special arrangement, we co-sponsor longer presentations
or mini-workshops in which attendees are charged a
fee, which is split 50/50 between the Presenter &
Sacred Productions. We will need at least 2 months
to plan the promotion of such an event on the website,
in postcards & newspaper ads, & in the program guide.
SPONSORSHIP
Over the last two decades, Sacred Productions has
produced more than 500 holistic and metaphysical events
throughout California. In that time our mailing list
has grown to 100,000, & our email list is now over
50,000. Each year we produce another 30 - 40 events,
reaching thousands more attendees. At each expo we
offer prime booth locations & marketing options to
businesses & organizations wishing to be a sponsor.
Sponsors can also receive discounts or free space
in the events when they provide significant help with
promoting the expo in the local area.
By sponsoring one or more Holistic Living Expos,
your business or organization will have a marketing
vehicle that combines the best features of advertising,
exhibiting, & networking - to promote your products
and services to the growning holistic community before,
during and after each Holistic Living Expo.

TEN SECRETS TO SUCCESSFUL
EXHIBITING
- Create
an attractive booth, with a large professional
sign displayed at eye level. A client or customer
needs to know who your are, what you’re offering,
and why they need it. Make it clear to them what
your specialties are. For optimum booth location,
pick your space in advance from the floorplans we
send you, & email us your choices.
- Actively
market yourself
before, during, & after the event. For example:
- Collect
addresses & emails at each event. We give you
unlimited numbers of free passes to send them
next time.
- Give
a free presentation, or give away something
useful to attendees. Let us know so we can include
it in our ads.
- Place
ads in the program guide, or arrange to have
your biography or banner on the website.
- Help
to arrange or participate in interviews on radio
or television prior to the event.
- Dress
in the spirit of the event.
We recommend dressing in a manner appropriate to
your field of expertise, tradition, ethnicity, or
in some other authentic or colorful way that will
make you stand out, or attract attention to yourself.
If you would like help designing or making a special
outfit, we can recommend someone to help you.
- Show
up
consistently & on time for events that you are registered
for. It is easier to change your mind about booth
location if you are there early during set-up. Give
yourself time after set-up to get grounded, clear,
& focused. If you are not going to make it due to
illness, car trouble, etc, call with plenty of notice.
We have a waiting list of exhibitors who want your
space. Setup is 8 - 10 am. If you can’t arrive by
9:30 am, call us at 831-706-4336 (days) or 831-239-6835 (evenings & weekends) or we will assume
you are not coming, & your space may be given to
someone on the waiting list.
-
Know what you want to accomplish.
It’s a good idea to have one major objective that
supports your overall goals. A massage therapist
might have a goal of doing 10-15 sessions at the
show & establishing 3-5 new regular clients for
private sessions at their office. An MLM booth might
plan to get 100 leads & turn 25% of them into sales.
A goal helps to energize you & focus your activities
before, during, & after the show.
- Be
a good neighbor.
You are in close quarters with many people whose
prerequisites for doing their work, & whose environmental
allergies or emotional sensitivities may conflict
with your activities.
- Don’t
burn sage or incense inside the exhibit hall.
Many people can’t handle it. This is a conflict
waiting to happen.
-
If you play music at your booth, keep the volume
at a level that works for your neighbors as
well. If in doubt, ask.
- If
you want a TV in your booth, ask us when you
register. We’ll need to locate your booth away
from practitioners.
-
Be peaceful. Don’t antagonize other exhibitors,
zap them with negative energy, or start fights.
If you have a legitimate issue that needs
mediation, ask the event staff for help. We
have years of experience in problem-resolution.
-
Optimize your Attitude.
Take some time after your set-up is complete to
lift your spirits in whatever way works for you.
It is a well-known principle of sales that when
you are promoting a product or service, what you
are actually selling is your own state of consciousness.
If a cloud of negativity hangs over your booth,
customers will avoid you like the plague. A psychic
reader or healer who is depressed or lethargic
is likely to bring their client down to their
level. On the other hand, inspiration, enthusiasm
& positive thinking are contagious. If you are
feeling ecstatic, you are magnetically attracting
others to you who would like their own vibration
raised to a higher level.
-
Respect boundaries.
During set-up, utilize no more than the
width of the space you registered for. In general,
the floorplan is designed according to the exact
dimensions of the room. If you set up an 8' x
8' display in a 6' x 8' space, you may be forcing
your neighbor to confine themselves to a 4' x
8' space. Stay within your own booth area when
marketing your product or service. Don’t approach
or distract fairgoers who are at another booth
& may be on the verge of buying something or getting
a reading. Most exhibitors consider it disrespectful
to wander the hall passing out literature & prefer
that you don’t do it in front of their booth.
Use the literature table near the entrance to
the hall to place your flyers, business cards,
etc.
-
Be available
at your booth during public hours (10 am - 6 pm,
except in Newport Beach, which is 10 - 5). Excessive
talking on cell phones, socializing, & leaving
your booth makes it difficult for you to connect
with potential clients. Unless you’re wearing
name tags, 2 people in a practitioner booth sends
the message that you’re not available. Don’t leave
early unless it’s an emergency, & never without
making arrangements with the staff. When exhibitors
start tearing down their booths, the public perceives
that the event is over, and they start leaving
as well.
-
Evaluate your results.
Continuously evaluate & work on improving your
skills, your attitude, your visual presentation,
& the marketing of your booth. If you notice others
being more successful than you, pay attention
to what they are doing that you aren’t. If you
want outside feedback, ask your neighbors or the
event staff for suggestions.
ADVERTISING & PROMOTION
Our advertising is widespread & thorough. We ask
all attendees how they heard about each event in order
to continually maximize the most cost-effective advertising.
We allocate over one third of your fees for advertising,
including::
- Ads
in local and holistic/metaphysical magazines...
- Attractive
full-color postcards mailed to targeted mailing
lists, which have been compiled over 20 years of
events.
- Press
Releases sent to area newspapers and media, resulting
in calendar listings, newspaper articles, & TV &
radio interviews.
- Extensive
links to our website, www.HolisticLivingExpo.com,
on which we also give away free guest passes..
- Emailed
event announcements & free guest passes to Sacred
Productions’ email list, as well as those of the
exhibitors.
Co-Creative Marketing: Unlimited
Free Guest Passes
The marketing of these events is a group effort.
We offer exhibitors & attendees unlimited numbers
of Free Guest Passes, with your name on them, to distribute
to clients, friends, & family. In exchange for your
efforts on behalf of the expo, we reward you with
Discount Coupons (Dharma Dollars), good toward readings,
healings, booth fees, or advertising on the website.
For every one of your guests who comes in, we give
a $1 discount coupon to the exhibitor or attendee
whose name is listed on the pass. The individual with
the most passes turned in at the expo receives double
the discount.
To get your passes, we email you a PDF of a Guest
Pass with “Courtesy of ‘your name’ listed on it, so
you can print them our or email them to your own email
list. If you would like us to send you some printed
passes, please let us know at least 4 weeks before
the event how many printed Free Guest Passes you would
like. You may have as many passes as you want. You
can make additional copies if you need to. There is
one restriction on Guest Passes. Please do not distribute
them during the expo at the expo site itself, or in
the parking lot.
TV, Radio, Newspaper Interviews
Exhibitors may also arrange for TV, Radio, or Newspaper
interviews prior to an event, & may offer free admission
to the viewers, listeners, or readers. Every attendee
who mentions that they heard about the event from
the interview gets in free, and the exhibitor receives
the same discount credit as if they had given them
a paper or electronic guest pass.
Website
Exhibitors are listed
on the website in the exhibitor lists, & in the presentation
schedules. Descriptions must be no more than 10 words
or so, depending on the length of words. The website
is updated every two weeks, so register early if you
wish to be listed on the website during the critical
weeks before an event when advertising to the public
is concentrated.
Exhibitor Biographies
Exhibitor Biographies are available on the website
by clicking on the button at the top of the home page.
To be included, you must be currently active in the
shows (having participated in a show within the last
6 months, or signed up and paid for a show in 2007).
The Bio Project is coordinated by Monique Chapman,
one of our readers in Northern California. You can
send your bio to her at monique@healing-visions.com.
Please send it in an MS Word document of 150 words
or less (use MS Words - word count (under tools on
the tool bar) to count the words). Please include
a professional-quality photograph if you can. The
Exhibitor Biographies are updated during the first
week of every month, so please get your information
to Monique before the end of the previous month. Your
bio can include an email link and a link to your website.
